My Dear Jane® Blocks on Flickr

I went to flickr this morning and set up an account. I added my DJ blocks and made a “badge.” I like how the blocks in the sidebar rotate. It was very easy to do this. In WordPress I made a “text” plug-in and pasted the HTML code provided by flickr. I refreshed my blog pages and my DJ blocks have their own slide-show.

I’ve been busy the past two weeks working on converting Sharon’s Dear Jane® Pages to my new hosting service. It’s been an arduous task. Expression Web is slowly teaching me how to use CSS styles. Just when I think I have it worked out, behold the pages go all catty-womper on me. It’s a lesson in patience and perseverance. My DJ pages contain 84+ pages to convert. It’s not a small task; but, one I am enjoying while I revisit DJ blocks I’ve made the past decade. That’s right…you read it right DECADE!!! The Dear Jane® quilt is a life-time journey for me. I’ve been actively involved in a group since I taught at a local quilt shop. We have retreats and sewing bees. Every now and again I add another block to the pile. :)

Well, it’s time I get back to converting those DJ pages. I have SO much more I want to share with the DJ Janiacs!

My New Portable Sewing Kit
My New Portable Sewing Kit

A couple weeks ago my vehicle was broken in to and my sewing kit (a Bass Pro Worm Bag) was taken. It contained about 60 spools of Mettler threads.  It may have had some Dear Jane blocks too.:(  It had a good pair of scissors with a new scissor fob. Sigh. Today I went to Staples and found the above to replace my bag. I’ll have fun this weekend organizing my new sewing bag.

I uploaded all the blocks I have scanned to date.
