Rose of Sharing Pincushion
Cut four 4” squares from your dark print.
Cut four 4” squares from your light print.
Make two 4 patches.

Layer the two four patches
with right sides together.
Baste the two layers.
Draw your pattern on ONE side only of the wrong side of the fabric. Line up the hearts to alternate the fabric on your pattern.
Sew a running stitch on the seam line you marked. Take small stitches especially around the curves.
Sew all the way around.
Open the seam on the straight inner portion of the pincushion. You will use this opening to stuff the pincushion.
Turn right side out and press gently.
Stuff with poly stuffing.
Whip stitch the opening shut.
Attach 2 buttons – 1 on each side using dental floss and a long needle.

Pincushion and

A couple of years ago I taught a DJ class and designed different sewing accessories and special projects to add interest to my "Journey With Jane" class. I adapted a 6" pattern of K7 - Rose of Sharing to make the pincushion. Make one for yourself.
